Tulsi Gabbard Fires Over 100 Intelligence Officers Over Sexually Explicit Chats

asistente jurídico

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced on February 25, 2025 that over 100 intelligence officers from 15 different agencies will be terminated for participating in sexually explicit chats on a National Security Agency (NSA) platform. This unprecedented move has sent waves through the intelligence community and raised questions about professional conduct and security in the workplace.

The controversy first broke when conservative activist Christopher Rufo, a contributor to City Journal, exposed the existence of these explicit messages. Rufo obtained transcripts of the conversations from two NSA employees. The chat platform, managed by the NSA, was intended for classified discussions but was misused for conversations that went far beyond professional boundaries.

According to Gabbard, the chat room discussions included topics such as polyamory and gender transition surgeries. Some of the conversations included explicit discussions about fetishes, artificial genitalia, and group sex. The chat rooms, titled “LGBTQ” and “IC_Pride_TWG,” were part of the NSA’s Interlink Messenger System.

Gabbard commented that the actions of the officers were a “flagrant breach of trust” and a violation of “fundamental principles and standards regarding professionalism.” In an Interview with Fox News, she stated, “I issued a directive today that mandates their termination and the revocation of their security clearances.”

The NSA has acknowledged the controversy, stating that investigations are ongoing to address the “misuse of government systems.” The agency also emphasized that the actions of a small minority do not reflect the entire intelligence community.

Gabbard’s actions are taking place alongside broader discussions about the culture within intelligence agencies and the need for stricter oversight. According to Gabbard, her decision “is merely the start of what we are witnessing throughout the Trump administration, which is fulfilling the mandate given by the American populace to cleanse the system, eliminate corruption, and address politicization and misuse.”

Gabbard’s office and the CIA are also working to dismiss several intelligence officers engaged in temporary assignments related to diversity initiatives. However, this move has been temporarily halted by a federal judge pending further examination.

In a social medial post referencing Gabbard’s actions, Elon Musk wrote, “MAJOR house cleaning needed.” Musk is currently overseeing the federal workforce.

As investigations continue and more details emerge, the mass firing of intelligence officers is likely to prompt a reevaluation of communication policies and professional conduct in the workplace across agencies.
