Murphy Aficionado, a former employee of Kanye West, has filed a new lawsuit alleging wrongful termination, discrimination, and hostile work environment. Aficionado also claims he did not receive any payment, despite working for West for nine months.

Aficionado began working for Yeezy in October 2022 as a project manager. According to the complaint, Aficionado worked extensive hours, often 50-70 per week, and occasionally slept in the office.

Aficionado has also accused West of frequently expressing antisemitic views in the workplace.

According to the lawsuit, West “would frequently make disparaging remarks about Jewish people” including attacks on his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. West allegedly told Aficionado, “The Jews got Kim and my kids.”

The lawsuit recalls a disturbing incident between Aficionado and West in West’s hotel room. According to the complaint, West reportedly wore a t-shirt featuring a swastika and provocatively asked Aficionado, “Don’t you like my shirt?” Intimidated and fearful of potential job repercussions, Aficionado claims he nervously responded, “It is definitely unique.”

The lawsuit details the uncomfortable event which took place in November 2022 after Aficionado was called into West’s hotel room at the Beverly Hills Waldorf Astoria. According to the suit, West had his pants unbuttoned and his girlfriend at the time, Bianca Censori, stood topless with “her hands barely covering her bare breasts.”

Aficionado claims West made him stay in the hotel room after Aficionado suggested waiting in the lobby. West then allegedly got up in the middle of their conversation and followed Censori into an adjoining bedroom. He allegedly told Aficionado, “Wait right here. Do NOT leave.”

According to court documents, “Within seconds, Aficionado began hearing loud moaning and clapping, emanating from the room Ye and Censori were having sex in.”

Afterwards, West allegedly reemerged wearing the swastika t-shirt. According to the suit, “then randomly and without solicitation, Ye sat down with Aficionado, showing him nude photos of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian on his phone.”

In the lawsuit, Aficionado also accused West of making discriminatory comments about his Filipino ancestry and allegedly told him to remove his “ugly” traditional Filipino tattoos.

Aficionado’s lawsuit is the latest in a series of legal actions brought against West by former employees. The allegations against him paint a disturbing picture of a hostile work environment rife with discrimination, antisemitism, and inappropriate behavior.

This lawsuit joins at least eight others filed by former Yeezy employees claiming unpaid wages, mistreatment, and exposure to pornography in the workplace. Additionally, a former Donda Academy employee filed a suit in April 2024 alleging that West wanted to confine students “in cages.” These growing legal problems point to a pattern of concerning behavior and workplace issues surrounding the controversial artist.
